What We Offer

• Czech and foreign academic literature, fiction, children’s literature, newspapers and magazines, music sheets, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks (tape cassettes and CDs in the mp3 format with recordings for blind people), table games and activity packets,
• foreign-language magazines,
• foreign-language academic e-books (you can also borrow an e-book reader or a tablet),
• CDs with recordings by performers and composers of the world.

We offer 53,000 titles of foreign literature in Slovak, English, German, Russian, French, and other languages.

In our library, you will find a high-quality and quick connection to the Internet including wi-fi in all the public areas.

You can use the Internet on the computers on the ground floor in the registration room or on the computers on the 1st floor, in front of the reading room. The computers allow you to use your own USB tools (flash discs, cameras, USB, zip drives, etc.) of plug-and-play type. However, it is forbidden to install other software, including your own. All the computers have the basic programme equipment (MS Office, PDF and image browsers) installed.

The Internet is available for registered as well as non-registered patrons of the library.

The study room and the Internet spot offer access to domestic and foreign electornic resources obtained on the basis of licensec. Some electronic resources may be accessed online remotely from anywhere after signing up to the library catalogue.
